Hour 1 - It Begins!

Created Unity project, imported pre-existing island base model and gradient shader. Investigated an issue I've been having whereby Blender models get imported into Unity with 100 scale and a -90 degree rotation on the x-axis. Solution can be found here.

Created basic prefabs and scripts for the PlayerController (handling user input), Island and Plant. Added functionality for spinning an island around by holding down the right mouse button, and also spawning plants (spheres for now!) when left-clicking.
